Sordoni Construction Services, Inc., announces management changes effective January 15 when longtime president, William B. Sordoni, will retire from active management. Speaking for the Board of Directors, Chairman Andrew J. Sordoni III acknowledged his brother’s retirement and stated that “Bill has served our family and our companies in numerous important roles, most recently as president of Sordoni Construction Services, Inc., from 1985 to the present.” The Chairman added that William E. Sordoni would become president on the same day, saying, “It is satisfying to this board and our owners that we have continuity in family management from father to son.”
Looking toward the future, the new president William E. Sordoni stated “Sordoni Construction has a longstanding history of delivering quality with integrity. I am grateful and excited to be a part of such an accomplished organization as we move into our second century of service.”
William B. Sordoni will become vice chairman of the firm and continue his liaison role with Sordoni Construction Co., an affiliate which operates primarily in New York and New Jersey.
Sordoni Construction Services, Inc., also announces two key executive changes and transitions. The changes reflect Sordoni’s commitment to build and maintain a strong management team as the company embarks on its 100th year.
Dino J. Galli has been promoted to Vice President of Preconstruction. Mr. Galli has thirty years of experience with Sordoni, most recently as Chief Estimator, and maintains a well-earned reputation in the regional architectural and construction community. He will lead projects through concept development, budgeting, scheduling and procurement.
John Lehmann has joined Sordoni as Project Executive. Mr. Lehmann brings twenty years construction management experience to Sordoni, and will oversee project execution, budget control and quality assurance. He previously served as Regional Quality Manager / Senior Manager for Gilbane Building Company in Philadelphia.
In 2010, Sordoni Construction Services, Inc., is celebrating its 100th anniversary, having been established in Forty Fort in 1910 by the late Andrew J. Sordoni, Sr. The firm has successfully completed billions of dollars of construction contracts with primary emphasis on industrial, commercial and institutional projects.
