Construction Management

As a Construction Manager, Sordoni’s role is to be the owner’s advocate, working with the architect/engineer to achieve the client’s objectives. The cost and complexity of today’s projects call for an integrated approach to planning, design and construction. That is why owners rely on Sordoni to guide them from project inception to completion, protecting them against risks inherent in the construction process and sharing in Sordoni’s capability and professional expertise.

Bringing a Construction Manager on board at the project’s start allows the Team (owner/developer, architect/engineer and contractor) to develop the most cost effective plan and schedule for the project. Depending on the project and individual needs of the client, Sordoni can serve as CM at Risk or CM as Agent.

As Construction Manager, we assume the following responsibilities:

  • Preconstruction budgeting
  • Determining the appropriate construction methods
  • Analysis of sustainable/green building features
  • Scheduling all required construction site activities into logical, specific steps
  • Meeting established deadlines
  • Reviewing drawings and specifications to ensure constructability with safety codes and applicable building codes
  • Open book cost tracking and reporting
  • Monitoring trade contractors’ work
  • Meeting weekly with the team to report the progress of the project
